Watercolor on Paper
Last Thursday evening at the ANA
meeting, local artist Janis Ward presented
several of her mixed media paintings and
a colorful slide show.
What a neat lady! So uninhibited and unafraid to experiment.
She explained how she used recycled items, like
shredded paper, or gauze, netting or plastic cleaner
bags to achieve different textures in her paintings.
By the end of the evening, I was feeling very inspired.
So today, I experimented with watercolors and netting,
and this is how it turned out.
I placed it on some card stock and sent a thank you
to Janis for sharing her technique.
